PL 14/10: Indicators and advocacy

These days I tend to treat lectures as door-openers rather than as events that are complete in themsdelves.

Yesterday, at the Polish-Norwegian workshop in Cracow,  I gave this lecture  on statistics, indicators and advocacy:

Here I’ve tried

  • to emphasize that practical statistics are being vitalized – for debates and decision-making – in the transition from industrial to knowledge-based economies.
  • to provide a wide range of concrete examples that participants may explore after the workshop
